A memory of slimming club

Everyone without fail used to go and have a wee before weigh-in at slimming club.

That few ounces of liquid make all the difference!


I've done a week's good dieting and weighed myself last night and hadn't lost weight so went and had three segments of terrys chocolate orange segments (calories 122 for 3)

Today it appears the scales have worked in my favour so in future I won't scran down a massive plate of low fat curry and expect to have lost weight!

Weigh it

Scary stuff weighing things out. I poured a huge bowl of museli today and then decided I'd weight it. Just abouts 100g - twice the recommended serving of museli and would have given me over 460 calories without milk!

Needless to say I put half back and had a respectable amount.

I weighed ten chewy drumsticks yesterday and they were 130g
100g of them is 400 calories so 13g (one sweet) is 52 calories.

Why they can't publish the figure on the packet I don't know. Oh hang on, but I do! You would be put off eating them if you knew that a sweet that lasts about 2 minutes has so many calories in it.

Exercise more exercise

I only managed 20 minutes the last two days but I have been out for a walk both days.
It's hard work exercising every day and you need to do something thats

(a) very easy
(b) convenient
(c) enjoyable

A neighbour was telling me all their exercise equipment folds up and stores away (Or has clothes hung on it!) and this is part of the problem - that we do fold away exercise equipment and that makes it more effort to do exercise.
My cross trainer and trampoline are left out in my study all the time. If I had to drag chairs about to put them out I'd just not bother.

So when you plan your exercise routine - find something that is easy to sort out. If you like to shop every day, then work out how far the local shop is and walk a bit faster there and round. That way you might be able to do chored and exercise too!

So will risk some exercise this morning. Have been out all morning at work anyway so have had some exercise.
